How It Works

You get a rack with J (8 pts), X (8 pts), or Z (10 pts) — the three highest-value single tiles.

In Maximize rounds, pick the word + premium square combo that scores highest.

In Play or Hold rounds, decide if the placement meets the 3x face value minimum or hold for better.

Learn the premium combos: TLS turns an 8-pt tile into 24 pts; pair that with DWS for 48+.

Triple Letter is King: TLS multiplies J/X/Z from 8-10 to 24-30 points for that letter alone. Always aim to land power tiles on TLS.
3x Face Value Minimum: Never play J for less than 24 pts, X for less than 24, or Z for less than 30 — unless forced in the endgame.
Hold for Premium: If no premium square is available, hold the power tile. The average waiting cost is only 5-8 points per turn.
Stack Multipliers: A power tile on TLS in a word crossing a DWS or TWS creates massive scores: (base + 3x tile) multiplied again.
Learn Short Words: Short J/X/Z words (JO, AX, ZA, XI) let you squeeze power tiles into tight premium square positions.
